Pure Storage makes a strategic investment in Andrew Ng’s LandingAI

The investment in LandingAI aims to help power the future of vision AI.

Pure Storage, a data storage company, has strategically invested in LandingAI, a visual AI company. The investment aims to help power the future of vision AI. Pure Storage focuses on delivering a data storage platform that enables customers to realise the potential of AI at any stage of the AI journey.

The Pure Storage team believes that the promise of LandingAI’s multi-modal Large Vision Model (LVM) solutions will help shape the future of vision AI for the enterprises that Pure serves.

LandingLens, LandingAI’s flagship product, has been built with a data-centric AI approach. It is a computer vision cloud platform that enables users to build, iterate, and deploy solutions quickly and easily. It helps users achieve optimal data accuracy and consistency.

LandingAI is also the pioneer in the field of domain-specific large vision models (LVMs), which enhance the ability to process and understand visual data at scale, making sophisticated visual AI tools more accessible and efficient.

“Enterprises will need solutions to apply generative AI to their data, which will increasingly consist of not just text, but richer image and video data as well,” said Andrew Ng, LandingAI CEO.

The company was founded by Andrew Ng, Founding lead of Google Brain, former chief scientist at Baidu, and co-founder of Coursera.

“We are excited to be investing in LandingAI, a company whose product affinity and customer synergies align closely to Pure’s,” said Rob Lee, CTO, Pure Storage. “We believe our strategic partnership with the LandingAI team, including its pioneering leaders Andrew Ng and Dan Maloney, will lead to significant AI/ML advancements for our customers.”
