Qatar taps into AI to speed up justice

Qatar’s Public Prosecution will leverage AI-powered tools in line with the National Vision 2030.

Qatar’s Public Prosecution has announced the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The move aims to enable a speedy justice system with the help of AI-powered tools that can convert speech into text and reduce manual work.

The use of AI is expected to enhance the accuracy and quality of information related to the Public Prosecution’s functions and improve the speed of the judicial process. These functions include writing minutes, drafting memorandums, and converting information obtained during investigation sessions into written texts among others.

Public Prosecution began the experimental use of word-to-text conversion services recently in some of its departments.

After the success of the trial phase of word-to-text conversion services in some of its offices, the Qatar entity has decided to implement the system on a larger scale.

Looking ahead, the Qatar Public Prosecution intends to continue adopting advanced technological solutions, including AI technologies, to enhance its work and develop automation for all judicial processes, ensuring timely justice.
