Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, announced on twitter that the UAE government has launched a national programme that will enable $4.08 BILLION worth of advanced Emirati technological products to be exported annually.

As per the tweet, the programme will accelerate the pace of technological transformation in the industrial and production sectors.

He also noted that the programme aims to develop 1,000 technological projects and witness the establishment of national centres for industrial empowerment.

This comes as the UAE launches its metaverse strategy that will create $4 billion Dubai’s digital economy and add 40,000 metaverse jobs by 2030.

According to the latest report by Strategy& Middle East, part of the PwC network, entitled, localizing high tech industries to build resilience and economic growth, the regional manufacture of three major product areas, advanced materials, advanced components, and advanced products, could be worth around $125 billion in revenues by 2025.

The report stated emphasized that Middle East countries should seek to localize that value as much as possible, instead of importing it.
