Talabat, the renowned food delivery platform, is introducing the beta version of ‘talabat AI’ to ensure a smooth shopping experience for users of their mobile app.
Powered by ChatGPT, talabat AI is accessible to ‘talabat pro’ subscribers and enables customers who order from ‘talabat Mart’ to conveniently search for recipes, identify ingredients, access nutritional information, receive cooking tips, and more.
According to talabat, this new feature is part of their commitment to improving customer satisfaction through innovative solutions. In an email statement, the company said that talabat AI was developed as a result of a recent hackathon held at talabat Tech HQ in the UAE, where over 450 product and tech engineers are based.
Yi-Wei Ang, Chief Product Officer, talabat, says, “We are thrilled to be the first in everyday delivery in the MENA region to integrate this capability into our app as part of our vision to simplify everyday life through innovative solutions.”
He added, “‘talabat AI’ was built by leveraging ChatGPT by OpenAI with the aim of exploring new, tech-enabled ways to enhance customer experience.”
How to access ‘talabat AI’
- On the talabat app -English Version-, open ‘talabat Mart’
- Tap on the search bar within ‘talabat Mart’
- Press on the blue icon on the bottom right
- Ask about a recipe in the chat box
Customers who are subscribed to talabat Pro now have access to ‘talabat AI’ in both the English and Arabic versions of the app. To use this feature, users can switch the language of their app to English in the ‘Settings’ section.
This innovative grocery shopping assistant enables customers to submit requests through chat. In return, it provides comprehensive cooking instructions for the desired recipe and recommends ingredients that are available at the nearest Talabat Mart store. Moreover, users can inquire about cooking tips, complementary dishes, and nutritional information from Talabat AI.
