In the ever-evolving technology landscape, women entrepreneurs continue to face unique challenges. Nezha Alaoui, the Founder and CEO of Women Choice, is a trailblazer committed to addressing these challenges and empowering women in tech.

Nezha Alaoui, Founder and CEO of Women Choice, illuminates the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the tech industry. ‘Raising funds is a significant hurdle,’ she explains. ‘And the struggle to find allies within the industry often leads to feelings of isolation.’ The absence of successful women role models and partners further complicates their journey in the tech landscape.

Women’s Choice is dedicated to addressing these challenges by creating a supportive ecosystem. ‘We facilitate networking opportunities with other tech leaders, both men and women,’ shared Alaoui. ‘And we assist with access to funding and partnerships through platforms like GITEX Africa, GITEX Global, and GITEX Impact.’

These platforms are crucial for networking and benchmarking innovation. Alaoui emphasises the importance of staying connected and informed about new ideas, stating, “As a woman entrepreneur, it’s essential to grow your network and stay on top of innovative trends.”

Mentorship is a cornerstone of Women’s Choice’s strategy. The organisation offers several incubator and accelerator programs designed to support women in tech. ‘One of our key programs is ‘Logic Connect and Elevate’ in partnership with Logitech,’ notes Alaoui. ‘And we are launching ‘Investor Connect’ in September to link women entrepreneurs with investment opportunities.’

Women Choice extends its support to female students in STEM fields. “We are present across universities, where we help female students connect with employment opportunities,” Alaoui said. The organisation focuses on making these students job-ready by building their confidence, teaching them how to apply for jobs effectively, and guiding them in career planning.

Alaoui’s vision for Women’s Choice is clear: to create a robust support system for women in tech, from entrepreneurs to students. By fostering networking, mentorship, and access to opportunities, Women’s Choice is paving the way for more women to thrive in the tech industry.
