The inaugural edition of the ITP.net Security Leadership Awards concluded successfully.
The event celebrated and recognised accomplishments in the regional IT security landscape.
Supported by the UAE Cyber Security Council, the ITP.net Security Leadership Awards kicked off at the Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai, and recognised individuals and organisations who have shown dedication and leadership in building the foundation of a digital future with security innovation.
The inaugural edition received over 100 nominations, demonstrating the rousing scale of cybersecurity innovation that is taking place in the region.
During the course of the evening, ITP.net recognised over 14 organisations and individuals across vendor, channel, end-user and personality categories.
The evening also saw an insightful keynote address for His Excellency Dr Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity, UAE Government.
The award ceremony kick started with ITP.net presenting the UAE Cyber Security Council with the ‘Cybersecurity Change-maker’ award for championing security innovation and for setting new standards for cybersecurity in the region; the with recognising HE Dr Al Kuwaiti as the ‘Influential Cybersecurity Leader’ for his dedication and vision in leading the UAE to becoming a cyber secure nation.
Four esteemed organisations were also recognised for their work with the UAE Cyber Security Council in strengthening the country’s stature in the field of cybersecurity – the awardees were CPX, CyberGate, Jaheziya and Strategico.
