The much-awaited Apple event this September is fast-approaching. While the tech giant still hasn’t confirmed the exact date for the event, industry pundits speculate that its most likely to take place on either September 12 or 13.

So, what can we expect to be unveiled at this Apple event? Undoubtedly, the spotlight will be on the new iPhone 15 lineup. Want a peek at what’s to come? Here are 7 products we expect to see unveiled at the Apple September event

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus

Apple September events typically see the launch of the latest lineup of iPhones. This year, we can expect the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus to be introduced. The biggest rumoured upgrades to Apple’s flagship product is the shift from the Lightning port to USB-C connectivity, the incorporation of the Dynamic Island at the display’s apex, and augmented battery capacities due to novel stacked battery technology. The A16 Bionic chip, having previously graced the iPhone 14 Pro, is also rumored to make its way into the standard iPhone 15 series, ensuring robust performance.

The iPhone 15 Pro is reportedly poised for a substantial overhaul including a more rounded design, a departure from the flat edges found in the iPhone 14 Pro. Anticipated design adjustments for the iPhone 15 Pro extend to thinner display bezels, shrinking them to a mere 1.55mm from the 2.1mm seen in the iPhone 14 Pro. Regarding the display itself, there’s speculation about potential rearrangements of sensors within the Dynamic Island, possibly resulting in slight size reductions or performance enhancements.

Under the hood, both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are anticipated to boast Apple’s novel A17 Bionic processor, touted as the world’s inaugural 3nm chip. This advancement should deliver superior performance and efficiency, with early A17 Bionic benchmarks showcasing impressive results.

iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will most likely share numerous upgrades with the iPhone 15 Pro. However, being the Pro lineup of the devi, it deserves a special mention especially due to a rumoured exclusive feature: a novel periscope-style telephoto lens.

Utilising enhanced optics, the telephoto camera on the iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly provide twice the optical zoom range compared to the camera on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, elevating it from 3x to an impressive 6x zoom. Although this is a noteworthy enhancement, it still falls short of the 10x telephoto camera found in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Apple Watch 9

Traditionally, the launch of new iPhones are accompanied by the introduction of new Apple Watches. In anticipation of the upcoming Apple September event, we’re looking forward to the unveiling of the Apple Watch 9. While there hasn’t been an abundance of rumours circulating about the next-generation Apple Watch, reports suggest that the Apple Watch 9 is poised to deliver enhanced specifications, including a 5nm A15 chip.

Furthermore, we can anticipate improved battery life and the possibility of certain features from the Apple Watch Ultra trickling down to the Watch 9.

Apple Watch Ultra 2

Initially, there were indications that a new Apple Watch Ultra wouldn’t be unveiled until 2024. However, reports suggest that the so-called Apple Watch Ultra 2 is now slated for launch at the upcoming Apple event.

If this prediction comes to fruition, the existing rumours surrounding the Apple Watch Ultra 2 suggest the possibility of adopting a Micro LED display to enhance color reproduction and viewing angles, alongside a 2.1-inch screen size.

While it’s logical to expect improvements in activity tracking and health monitoring features, no specific enhancements of this nature have surfaced in the rumour mill as of yet.

iPad mini 7

The inclusion of the iPad mini 7 in the upcoming Apple event is not confirmed, but there have been whispers suggesting its possible debut. As reports, Apple won’t probably undertake a significant redesign of the product. However, there’s an anticipation of a processor upgrade.
