CommsMEA gained privileged access to Gulf Data Hub, which is due to open in January

Gulf Data Hub is a new co-location data centre facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis and is due to launch commercially in January 2014. The company describes the development as a "purpose built facility providing equipment room space provisioned with electrical power and cooling". (All photos by ITP Business Publishing/Ruel Pableo)

The initial build is for 6000 sq metres of data centre space spread across two identical buildings. Both buildings together will consist of up to 14,000 sq metres. Gulf Data Hub has a total plot area of 65,000 sq metres.
