Completely avoiding public WiFi may be tough; but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

HTTP CHECKS: One should check that the webpages visited are https encrypted. This can be checked by looking for https at the start of the URL address bar, or for the security padlock sign.

CHOOSE HOW AND WHEN TO CONNECT: It’s best to switch off WiFi when not in use. When the need be, one should select the WiFi network manually and connect.

DID YOU LOG OUT?: It’s safe to log out of all personal accounts after the job is done , especially while accessing public WiFi.
