Future Blockchain Summit highlighted the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Web3 world

Future Blockchain Summit 2023 has kicked off, attracting attendees from around the world’s blockchain and crypto ecosystem to the Emirate. The event’s sixth edition is showcasing more than 150 exhibitors, regulatory authorities, and government representatives from over 50 countries.

The Exchange Stage was a focal point of the summit, hosting a series of sessions on the theme of the day – “Entertainment in Web3.” Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, delivered a keynote address, emphasising the pivotal role of the event in promoting innovation and the global adoption of transformative technologies. Dubai’s emergence as a global Web3 technology hub was credited to the unwavering commitment of the UAE leadership and forward-thinking regulatory policies, such as those set by VARA, which have fostered an environment conducive to innovation and the success of crypto firms.

The Web3 Arena shone a spotlight on the increasing potential of Web3 technologies in the gaming industry. A panel discussion, titled “Gaming in GCC: Who Becomes the Global Gaming Hub?,” featured insights from experts like Pavel Kasperovich from Boston Consulting Group and John Lacey, Country Manager of Level Infinite MENA at Tencent Games Global. John Lacey praised Abu Dhabi’s unique strategy, which nurtures talent in eSports and startups, creating an environment for developers to flourish. Pavel underscored the pivotal role of government support in the gaming sector, stating that it extends beyond financial aid to include simplifying processes, tax incentives, and infrastructure development, which facilitate the entry and growth of gaming companies.

Day one at the Future Blockchain Summit also highlighted the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Web3 world. Emil Jimenez, founder and CEO of MindBank Ai, presented a thought-provoking talk, “Welcome to a Web3 World of AI Enhanced Humanity,” which explored the future of AI and the impact of digital twins. The event also featured a workshop titled “Stories from Songs Past and Present,” discussing how AI has transformed the music industry and the creative process, with contributions from industry experts Fernando Garibay and OG Arabian Prince.

OG Arabian Prince stressed that AI remains a tool that requires human guidance and input, noting that significant advancements in AI significantly changing daily life are still several years away.

The Future Blockchain Summit will continue for the next three days, bringing together disrupters, change-makers, and innovators from across the globe to showcase the progress made in Web3, blockchain, and crypto technologies, with the aim of driving transformative change for the future. Dubai’s commitment to innovation and leadership in this rapidly evolving sector is evident, making it a hotspot for blockchain and crypto enthusiasts worldwide.
