GITEX Europe to kick off in Berlin in May 2025

GITEX EUROPE is the second overseas venture for the powerhouse GITEX brand, following the historic debut of GITEX AFRICA Morocco in May 2023

The third day of GITEX GLOBAL 2023 saw the global tech show announce the launch of “GITEX EUROPE,” marking a pivotal moment in the international expansion of the global tech community.

GITEX EUROPE 2025, set to debut from May 21-23, 2025, is a strategic partnership between KAOUN International, the international affiliate of DWTC, and Messe Berlin. This expansion follows the successful launch of GITEX AFRICA Morocco in May 2023, an event independently acclaimed as the world’s premier tech event launch. GITEX GLOBAL is fast becoming the influential nexus bridging the future of economies in key regions, including Dubai, Africa, and now Europe.

At the official signing ceremony, Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, underscored the significance of this expansion. He stated, “Berlin is a natural partner and twin to Dubai. Going to Berlin proves that we are able to take the best and the brightest minds from the region to Europe and also bring them back to Dubai. This is a continuous momentum that started with GITEX AFRICA, and we’re hoping to make GITEX Europe the most successful tech event in the continent.”

Franziska Giffey, Vice Mayor of Berlin and State Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Enterprises, added, “Berlin and GITEX are a perfect match. We are united in our vision of connecting the global community of innovators and we share the passion for pioneering new technologies. Located in the heart of Europe, Berlin is home to one of the world’s most vibrant start-up ecosystems and a major destination for talent and investment. We are thrilled to team up with GITEX in our endeavor to advance transformation and boost Germany’s and Europe’s innovation power.”

GITEX EUROPE 2025 is well-timed as Europe evolves into a global tech superpower, with plans to create 11 million new tech jobs by 2030 and an increasing share of global VC funding. This expansion opens the door to deploying significant venture and growth funds on purpose-driven technologies, with a focus on ESG investment and climate tech. Europe’s 160,000 start-ups and 2.6 million start-up employees are poised to propel a new era of tech ascendancy, underpinned by the networking power, PPP collaborations, and real business-making capacity of GITEX EUROPE 2025.

Berlin, at the heart of this transformation, stands out as a burgeoning global tech hub. Economic policies have positioned the city as a magnet for innovative companies dedicated to transformative tech shifts like AI, blockchain, and quantum computing. Berlin’s ecosystem is bolstered by numerous tech start-ups, accelerators, and unicorns, making it a core hub of innovation in Germany and Europe.

GITEX EUROPE 2025 aims to provide a dynamic platform encompassing a wide range of digitisation topics, including AI, the metaverse, blockchain, cybersecurity, telecommunications, climate tech, and future mobility. It represents a significant addition to the global tech landscape, offering the opportunity to connect, innovate, and drive the future of technology on an international scale.
