Dubai Police launch second NFT Collection at Gitex 2022

The Dubai Police General Command has launched the luxury patrol “Ghiath” NFT collection at GITEX 2022. This is part of its second group of digital assets dedicated only to luxury patrols.

The smart patrols feature a 360-degree camera, eight exterior surveillance cameras, and a facial and licence plate recognition system.

The launch of these non-fungible digital assets, as a second group, comes after the Dubai Police launched, earlier this year, 150 NFT ( Non Fungible Tokens) that symbolize Dubai Police values “innovation…security…communication”.

His Excellency Major General Khaled Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence in Dubai Police, stressed that the launch of the Ghayath patrol within the non-fungible digital assets comes in line with the government’s trend in the field of digital assets, and contributes to attracting those interested in this modern digital sector, and in order to achieve leadership in the field of digital assets. This field is unique.

He indicated that Dubai Police is the first government agency in the country to produce its own digital assets, and the first police agency in the world. He noted that digital assets are minted on the Blockchain and each digital asset is a unique copy in itself, containing complete information about the date of creation of this digital asset and its owner all of which is documented on the blockchain so it cannot be falsified or copied.

22.91 million people around the world registered their interest in Dubai Police’s NFT collection.  The five countries that interacted the most to the Dubai Police’s announcement of the launch of digital assets in the first group were the UAE, Nigeria, India, the United States of America, and Saudi Arabia.
