The Middle East region has big ambitions, and many countries in the region are investing heavily to digitally transform themselves. Others have already begun the implementation of core digitisation initiatives. In fact, the region is nearly halfway through its journey to transform digitally. As of today, several countries in the Middle East region are actually ahead of developed countries on the world stage when it comes to digitalisation.

As a global technology company, we work very closely with the local ICT ecosystem to build solutions for industries of the future. Under the theme of ‘Dive into Digital’, Huawei is demonstrating the growing value of digitalisation to national economies at this year’s GITEX Technology Week, and how cutting-edge technologies are likely to be applied across different vertical industries in the year ahead.

Huawei’s presence this year at GITEX reflects how industrial digital transformation is becoming more sophisticated as it reaches an advanced stage characterised by the digitalisation of both support and core production systems. These practical applications of emerging technologies like cloud, connectivity and intelligence are all the more important in a post-pandemic era where all industries are looking for opportunities to be more efficient, versatile, and resilient.

On October 19, we will also be hosting the Huawei MENA Industrial Digital Transformation Summit 2021’. The summit is specifically designed to bring together thought leaders and industry experts to share innovations in technology and scenario-based solutions, to help customers in all industries go digital.

In particular, there are three major trends worth keeping an eye on. First is how digitalisation is accelerating and moving towards traditional industries. Second, we must examine how the main transformation scenario is extending from offices to other production spaces, entering a new stage of intelligent upgrades. Finally, the adoption of 5G, Cloud and green technologies have taken quantum leaps, and it is imperative that organisations understand how they are finding greater traction than ever before.

Ultimately, Huawei is committed to supporting enterprises, governments, and partners in the Middle East as they forge ahead on their digital transformation journey. We hope that GITEX Technology Week 2021 will be an opportunity to showcase how new technologies can drive business growth and empower organisations to reach the next level of capabilities.

Huawei will be located at GITEX Technology Week in Za’abeel Hall 1.
