World Future Health Africa 2024 will accelerate public-private sector collaboration to enhance affordable and accessible healthcare

World Future Health Africa 2024 is an event in Morocco, supported by the Moroccan Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, and the Digital Development Agency, which will focus on the transformative potential of technology in addressing Africa’s healthcare challenges. This forum, held in partnership with the Africa CDC, Africa Healthcare Federation, and PATH, aims to propel innovative solutions for the continent’s unique healthcare needs.

The three-day health-tech investment exhibition, scheduled for May 29-31, 2024, in Marrakech, is expected to attract major hospital groups and African ministries. It aims to catalyse a new digital health agenda across the continent, in a market projected to grow by 11 per cent annually, reaching $9.5 billion by 2028 according to Statista.

World Future Health Africa 2024, presented by GITEX Health Tech 5.0, will accelerate public-private sector collaboration to enhance affordable and accessible healthcare for Africa’s 1.5 billion people. Morocco’s $3 billion investment in digitalising its healthcare sector in 2024 underscores the nation’s commitment to this cause.

His Excellency Khalid Aït Taleb, Minister of Health and Social Protection, highlighted the significance of digitising healthcare under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, focusing on personalised and secure medicine to reduce social and spatial inequalities. He emphasised the forum’s role in fostering public-private partnerships to bolster Africa’s health sector’s digital transformation.
