Elon Musk’s X, previously Twitter, launches new premium subscription plans

The X platform now has two new premium subscription plans

Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, formerly known as Twitter, introduced two new subscription plans.

One of these is the Premium+ tier, available at approximately $16 per month, which provides users with an ad-free experience along with all the platform’s features and tools. However, this premium tier is currently only accessible through a web browser. The other plan is at a much lower rate than the Premium+ tier.

The second subscription plan, the basic tier, is priced at $3 per month but does not offer an ad-free experience.

Additionally, X has plans to incorporate video and audio calling features for select users, aiming to transform the platform into a comprehensive “everything app.”

Elon Musk has been actively exploring various options to monetise the social media platform since his acquisition of it for $44 billion in October 2022.
