Arab Health 2024 showcases healthcare innovations in Dubai

Arab Health 2024’s theme is, ‘Connecting Minds, Transforming Healthcare,’

Arab Health, the largest healthcare event in the region, has opened in Dubai, building on the AED6.65 billion ($1.81 billion) in deals secured last year. The 49th edition, running until February 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, coincides with projections of substantial investments in the GCC healthcare sector, set to reach $135.5 billion by 2027, with a 5.4 per cent annualised growth rate from $104.1 billion in 2022, according to a 2023 report by Alpen Capital.

At the trade show, artificial intelligence (AI) takes a prominent role, with GE Healthcare launching 19 AI-powered innovations, aiming to transform healthcare diagnosis and delivery. Hady El Khoury, Regional General Manager MENEAT for GE Healthcare, highlights the critical role of leveraging deep learning solutions for a future-ready healthcare ecosystem.

Arab Health: Addressing challenges in the UAE and wider MENA

Featuring over 3,450 exhibitors and drawing over 110,000 healthcare professionals from 180 countries, Arab Health 2024 includes more than 40 international pavilions showcasing the latest healthcare products and advancements. The event’s theme, ‘Connecting Minds, Transforming Healthcare,’ introduces innovations like the Smart Hospital and Interoperability Zone in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE student-focused competition, Cre8.

Addressing healthcare challenges, Arab Health spotlights the growing prevalence of diabetes in the UAE and the wider MENA region. The UAE diabetes device market is projected to surpass AED781 million by 2030, according to market research firm Insights 10 statistics. Additionally, the event emphasises the global anti-aging market, forecasted to reach $183 billion by 2028, with experts convening at the exclusive third Future Health Summit in Dubai to discuss advancements in reverse aging and longevity.

Arab Health has officially partnered with the Dubai Health Authority for the Public Health Conference from January 29-30 at the DWTC, themed ‘Uniting for enhanced local and global public health’.
