Sophos, a global network and endpoint security provider, has revealed that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Invincea, a provider of malware protection.
Invincea maintains an endpoint security portfolio designed to detect and block cyber threats through the use of deep learning neural-network algorithms. Based in Fairfax, Va., Invincea has fostered a strong reputation within the US’ government, healthcare and financial services sectors.

The addition of Invincea’s machine learning malware detection and prevention into Sophos’ endpoint protection portfolio will further improve the firm’s synchronized security capabilities and real-time intelligence sharing.
