Saudi Arabia’s Salam turns to Oracle to expedite delivery of new 5G services

Salam will use Oracle Communications’ solutions to deliver services to consumers and enterprises

Saudi Arabia’s Salam, previously known as Integrated Telecom Company, has chosen Oracle to drive 5G innovation in the Middle East.

Salam, a telecom brand within the Mawarid Media & Communications Group (MMCG) and Mawarid Holding Company, will use Oracle Communications’ solutions to deliver services to consumers and enterprises.

“Salam aims to provide customer-centric offers that help create a digital society in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 digital transformation plans,” said Ahmed Al-Anqari, CEO, Salam.

“With Oracle, we have a future-ready digital strategy to accelerate our time to market for 5G and other digital services. With a modular pre-integrated stack, we avoid the costly and time-consuming process of complex integrations and high level of customisations. This means we can launch, orchestrate, and monetise new offerings as the market demands while delivering an excellent experience for our customers in the process.”

Established in 2005, Salam is a key player in Saudi Arabia’s communications modernisation. Oracle’s technologies will support Salam’s digital capabilities and service expansion.

Salam will implement Oracle Cloud Scale Monetisation and Oracle Unified Operations solutions to replace legacy systems, facilitating unique promotions for different customer groups. Automated orchestration will accelerate revenue generation for existing and new digital services like 5G streaming, AR/VR gaming, and IoT-connected devices.

Oracle was chosen due to its industry expertise, communications portfolio, and success in telecom transformation projects, according to Jason Rutherford, SVP and GM of Oracle Communications, Applications.

““Salam has built its company reputation around innovation, elevating traditional telco offerings with a unique, experience-led presence in the market. We’re honoured to be the trusted technology partner in enabling their vision to create a more digital society in the Kingdom.”
