AME Info achieves some global recognition

iSyndicate will resell regional portal’s content to 240,000 sites worldwide.

AME Info now has an outlet to thousands of Web sites around the world thanks to a deal with iSyndicate.

The California-based syndication and aggregation specialist currently delivers content to around 240,000 Web sites, including Citibank, Nintendo and Wells Fargo.

AME Info will provide content in three areas: its database of information on 200,000 regional businesses; business news and events calendar.

AME Info will receive licensing revenue from companies that choose to buy its content from its iSyndicate as well as branding throughout North America.

“This alliance gives us access to a vast distribution network of wireless devices and Web sites, taking AME Info content global,” explains Klaus Lovgreen, managing director, AME Info.

“Since we are the first Middle East entity to sign-up with iSyndicate, our content, which includes a data-base of 200,000 organisations in 14 countries throughout the region, will now be exposed to worldwide sellers via this blue-chip company.”

The move is part of a strategy to drive revenue growth through the resale of content from the ameinfo.com portal.

As revealed in arabian-business.com last month, the company has a deal with Yellow Pages provider InfoSpace that will see its business listings made available to North American Web sites.

It’s also been working with the WAP standard, which reformats content for wireless devices. Over the Summer, AME Info will make the three modules available to iSyndicate as WAP content.

“Through this partnership, we are licensing and building a co-branded interface for third party sites to access AMEInfo’s extensive database of Middle Eastern organisations for both desktop and wireless devices,” explained John Klem, leader, international content business development, iSyndicate.
