Epson release new printer

New Stylus Colour 480 inkjet features ‘button-free’ aesthetic operation.

Epson has released the latest edition to its Stylus Colour 400 series.

The 480 combines aesthetic design with a panel-less design. Instead, users operate the inkjet via the PC interface.

The printer handles up to 720dpi with a variable droplet technology, printing up to 4 pages per minute in black and white and 2.6 pages per minute in colour.

The printer also has Photo Enhance 4 technology for image optimization.

“It’s predecessor accounts for one in ten inkjets sold in the UK in the first quarter of this year, so the Stylus Colour 480 has a lot to live up to, but with the improvements we’ve made to the design and functionality will make this as popular as the 460,” said Jonathan Baker, general manager for Epson Middle East.

“We believe the launch of the very affordable, high quality Stylus Colour 480 will allow Epson to further penetrate the low end, entry level peripheral market.”
