Belkin hopes that Gitex will increase its brand awareness even more. The fast-growing networking and peripherals vendor made its long awaited move into a dedicated office at DIC in August.

“Belkin will participate in Gitex this year to increase its brand awareness and also identify new partners in the region,” explains Andre Van Rensburg, country manager Middle East and Africa.

Meanwhile, Dubai-based security solutions value-added distributor Fusion is also ready to roar at this year’s Gitex event with a jam-packed stand offering the latest and greatest in world class security solutions.

“Fusion Distribution’s appearance at Gitex allows us to show our resellers new product lines and give them more value back,” says Lee Reynolds, marketing director at Fusion.

“Our vision is to become the strongest channel driven security distributor in the Middle East region, offering a comprehensive suite of best-of-breed IT security products. We have a drive and passion for complete customer satisfaction.”

Fusion’s product portfolio reads like a who’s who of the security space including MessageLabs, SurfControl, Fortinet, Sophos, Kaspersky and RSA.

These vendors and others allow Fusion to specialise in a wide range of solution areas including mail content filtering, web content filtering, antivirus systems, identity management as well as intrusion prevention.

Reynolds reckons that the Middle East market is ripe for sustained investment in security solutions and that the VAD role is critical in assisting resellers.

“We are looking to add even more resellers to gain more market share for our vendors,” Reynolds adds.
