Bahrain puts public and private firms in spotlight

The Kingdom of Bahrain is showcasing both public and private information technology companies in an effort to promote Bahrain e-Government Agency’s services and provide opportunities for Bahraini companies overseas.

After recently celebrating the first anniversary of the launch of the Bahraini national strategy for e-Government, this year the pavilion includes the participation of Governmental bodies represented in ministries and state bodies, presenting the integrated e-government services, coordinated by the e-Government Agency.

The Pavilion will exhibit the latest advances in information and communications technology to provide these services, in a bid to take advantage of the chance to exchange experiences with other exhibitors in this area.

The private companies are exhibiting at GITEX Technology Week with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Labour Fund.

In addition to highlighting private companies at GITEX, the Bahraini pavilion is also demonstrating the e-services provided by the Government.

The e-Government is aiming to provide 167 Bahraini government services electronically within three years.
