Adaco talks up growth

Hospitality procurement software vendor Adaco Services is stepping up its efforts in the region.

The US company recently opened an office in Bangalore, India, and its chief operating officer (COO) Pat Welch said last week that this would sharpen its focus on markets such as the Middle East, India, China and Japan.

“It is vital for us to have a presence in the Middle East, so we opened the office which will allow us to go east into these markets. Enhanced competition has heightened the demand among hoteliers for accurate price quotes,” Welch said. “There is a growing demand for our procurement, inventory, recipe and menu costing analysis systems.”

Welch said the company plans to introduce a “scaled-down version” of its Adaco Eclipse e-procurement system, which will be distributed in Dubai by Bond Communications.

Adaco has around 60 installations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
