Securtiy software company Sophos today announced the latest version of its Sophos Mobile Control for mobile device management.

The MDM solution is aimed at solving the BYOD conundrum, by supporting mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, Android devices and Windows Phone handsets.

The new release features a Web-based console, deployed either on-premise or in the cloud, and new iOS 7 compatibility features, including enhanced separation of personal and corporate data.

Sophos also pledged “cost savings with support for the Apple’s new Volume Purchase Programme (VPP), and Touchdown  support on Android devices”.

The new version supports Windows Phone 8, Android, and iOS 7, Apple’s latest mobile operating system, currently deployed on more than 200m devices, according to Sophos.

“Mobile security knows no boundaries,” said John Shaw, vice president, End-User Security Products, Sophos.

“Organisations of all types require simple solutions to protect their people and information from increasingly damaging threats. Sophos Mobile Control is a complete solution for confidently protecting the mobile workforce and classroom; we’re delighted to deliver it to the market.”
