In a recent blog post by Cloudflare, the US-based company that provides cloud security services, stated that while they have not yet seen a coordinated cyberattack campaign targeting Israel, there nevertheless is a clear uptick in attacks in the region in October last year, after the unrest and tension started.

The post noted that while there weren’t significant changes in application layer attacks in the past month, the government administration sector emerged as the most targeted industry. Cloudflare noted that blocked DDoS requests accounted for 46 per cent of all traffic directed towards it.

It peaked at 75 percent higher than the previous week’s time frame. The blog post noted that the spike was predominantly driven by mobile devices, which accounted for 62 percent of all traffic.

In Iran, there was a higher than-usual spike in traffic in the morning on Sunday 14th, April during the local time of 02:00 am and 07:00 am.
