Disruptive dozen: 12 cybersecurity companies to check out at GISEC 2023

Here is a list of 12 cybersecurity companies that are particularly noteworthy at GISEC 2023. These companies are expected to show innovation and expertise in the cybersecurity industry.

As the world becomes increasingly reliant on technology, cybersecurity has become a critical concern for businesses of all sizes. From data breaches to hacking attempts, the threat of cyberattacks forces companies to be vigilant in protecting their sensitive information.

There will be a plethora of cybersecurity companies showcasing their products and services at GISEC 2023 which will be held in the World Trade Centre, Dubai from the 14th to 16th of March. Here is a list of 12 cybersecurity companies that are particularly noteworthy. These companies are expected to show innovation and expertise in the cybersecurity industry.

1. ACRONIS

This year at GISEC, Acronis will showcase latest solutions to cyber protection problems, adding to the current range of capabilities, which includes signature-based AV, AI-enabled behavioural antimalware, automated vulnerability scanning and patch management, advanced email security, DLP, backup and disaster recovery – all managed from a single platform, with a single agent on the endpoint.

Last year their participation at GISEC focused on the third round of investments which increased the valuation of the company to $2.5 billion, the new version of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud and the latest features from integrated one-stop solution for cybersecurity matters. However, this year, the key focus will be on the current trends, engaging with MSPs and end-users to understand their pain points and offer solutions.

2. CHECK POINT SOFTWARE

Check Point Software’s key focuses at GISEC include threat prevention, cloud security, mobile security, and security management. The cyber security company will focus on its latest prevention-first solutions including Check Point CloudGuard, Check Point Harmony, Check Point Quantum and Check Point Horizon along with sharing expertise on emerging cyber security threats and best practices.

This year, Check Point Software’s participation at GISEC 2023 is centred around the concept of Unified Security Architecture. The company believes that prevention is the best security solution and the focus is on delivering comprehensive, consolidated, and collaborative cyber security solutions to our customers and partners.

Visitors can gain insights on the best practices in cyber security, network with industry experts, and explore how Check Point’s solutions can provide holistic protection and streamline operations at their GISEC booth.

3. CLOUDFLARE

At GISEC 2023, Cloudflare will showcase its suite of products that can protect and accelerate any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. They will encourage regional enterprises to embrace network transformation. The security company invites visitors to their stand to educate regional enterprises and organisations about protecting, consolidating and optimising their corporate networks, their IT and internet presence, without the cost and complexity of managing legacy network hardware.

4. CROWDSTRIKE

This year, at GISEC, the company will be announcing a global partnership with Dell. The company will talk all about proactive security during the show. They recently introduced the latest modules, which include Falcon Surface, an external attack surface management solution, coupled with the enhanced Falcon Spotlight, a vulnerability management module, to provide organisations with a 360 degrees view of their exposure, from inside out and outside in.

This year, Fabio Fratucello, International Field Chief Technology Officer at CrowdStrike will be speaking on the main stage at GISEC. Fratucello’s talk is titled “Detection and Response in 2023: What we have learned from the past and what the future looks like”. The session will review strengths and weaknesses of the modern security operation practice, and will highlight how designing cyber fundamentals right is more than ever critical to implement a cost effective, long term cyber detection and response strategy.

5. KASPERSKY

Kaspersky’s theme of GISEC 2023 is “Connecting Minds, Boosting Cyber Resilience”. The security company believes that the aspect of cyber resilience is an important one and our newly introduced concept of Cyber Immunity is an ideal way forward for organisations, especially in the industrial and critical infrastructure sectors, to build their resilience against cyberattacks.

This year, the company’s announcements for the event will revolve around NFTs and ICS cyberthreats which are not only trending within the cybercrime landscape, but are also becoming of the top areas to strengthen proactive security measures.

They will also lead a discussion on how ChatGPT influences the cyberthreat landscape, highlighting whether it is a game changer in the field of defensive cybersecurity or will be evolve into an effective tool for cybercriminals.

6. MANDIANT

Mandiant will present Mandiant Advantage at GISEC this year, the multi-vendor XDR platform that offers Mandiant’s experience and front-line information to security teams of all sizes.

Attack Surface Management is one of the modules in Mandiant Advantage that enables businesses to view themselves from the perspective of an attacker. Organisations can leverage the information from Attack Surface Management to operationalise and inform risk management while continuously identifying and monitoring their exposures.

Security Validation, a tool for automated and continuous testing that enables organisations to rapidly and confidently be able to answer the question, “Can we be breached by the latest attack?” is another module the company will be discussing at the presentation.

7. QUALYS

The theme for Qualy’s participation at GISEC 2023 is “Measurable Risk Reduction”. Visitors will get the opportunity to learn from experts on quantifying risk and how to streamline and automate IT, security and compliance programs via Qualys’ single holistic cloud platform. Further, this year’s theme will educate security leaders on how to track and measure cyber-risk from an approach that ties back to overall business value.

At GISEC 2023, attendees will get to learn how the Qualys Cloud Platform identifies and decreases levels of risk through managing assets and vulnerabilities, automating remediation and taking a context-driven approach to detect and respond to malicious attacks.

8. SENTINELONE

With a range of autonomous cybersecurity solutions, SentinelOne helps organisations stay ahead of emerging threats and protects their digital environments with confidence. The company will showcase its Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform, Singularity XDR, as well as Singularity for Identity, an Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) solution and Singularity for Endpoint, an endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution at GISEC 2023. 10. SECUREWORKS

At GISEC Global 2023. Secureworks will be will be concentrating on displaying the in-depth cyber security intelligence and showcasing TaegisTM XDR platform. Visitors will gain an understanding of how the company assist enterprises in preventing, detecting, and responding to threats across their whole IT and OT landscape.

Chris Yule, Director, Counter Threat UnitTM, Secureworks, will be giving a presentation on The Ransomware Puzzle of 2022 this year on the main stage. Chris Yule will discuss his observations and the lessons he has learnt after working to investigate and resolve hundreds of deadly ransomware attacks.

There will also be live simulation on Account Compromise from Recon to Impact. In this simulation, they will demonstrate the value of telemetry and logs ingested from various sources into a single data lake.
