Saudi Arabia’s Absher platform registers over 2.2 million transactions

Saudi Arabia Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform achieved a remarkable milestone by registering an impressive tally of over 2.2 million electronic transactions.

This notable figure represents the highest number of monthly transactions conducted since the beginning of the year.

Within the realm of the Ministry of Interior’s Agency for Civil Status, a diverse range of services were effectively delivered. Notably, 11,076 transactions were skillfully handled for the issuance of family registers, while an impressive 45,196 transactions were processed for the renewal of national identification cards. Additionally, the platform efficiently verified the validity of national IDs through 107,875 transactions.

Moreover, the Absher platform extended its benefits to 27,189 individuals who availed themselves of the Byanati “My Information” service. Additionally, a considerable number of 13,006 transactions were completed for the identification of family members. To address the needs arising from damaged IDs, 9,872 transactions were expertly executed for the issuance of replacements. Furthermore, the platform processed 32,513 transactions for individuals requiring replacements for lost IDs.

Turning our attention to the services offered by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat), we observe a significant volume of activity. Notably, the platform seamlessly facilitated the issuance or renewal of 169,303 electronic passports, and an impressive 635,476 residence IDs (Iqamas) were renewed. Concurrently, the platform adeptly managed 51,954 transactions for the extension of exit and re-entry visas, and another 335,293 transactions for the issuance of these visas. Furthermore, 10,247 transactions were carried out for the transfer of service.

Transactions related to the Jawazat also encompassed 35,823 requests for muqeem print, 15,875 transactions for the cancellation of final exit visas, and 2,002 authorizations for the reception of female workers entering the country for employment. Moreover, the platform facilitated 43,101 transactions for the issuance or renewal of passports with a validity period of less than 10 years.

Moving on to services pertaining to the General Directorate of Traffic (Muroor), the Absher platform admirably catered to the needs of vehicle owners. It processed 137,821 transactions for the renewal of vehicle licenses, efficiently managed 92,219 requests for repair permits, and skillfully completed 74,571 transactions for the renewal of driver’s licenses.

In addition, the platform effectively handled 84,562 requests for driving authorizations, executed 19,332 transactions for the disposal of damaged or unwanted vehicles, and facilitated 16,045 transactions for vehicle sales. Notably, it oversaw 5,228 transactions related to the review of vehicle insurance validity and managed 27,726 requests for the replacement of number plates.

During the month of May, the Absher platform flawlessly fulfilled 194,067 document delivery requests in collaboration with the Saudi Post Logistics (SPL). Furthermore, it expertly handled 6,845 general inquiries related to fingerprinting, and efficiently issued 9,992 reports through the Absher report service.

The services offered through the “Absher Business” platform were equally noteworthy, catering to the needs of various sectors. Impressively, the platform granted 104 rock-cutting permits and expertly processed 89 permits for vehicle repair facilities. Moreover, it validated 257 digital identities and skillfully executed 3,541 transactions for air rifle clearances. Additionally, the platform facilitated 2,271 transactions pertaining to driving authorizations for visitors.

The Absher platform, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior’s sectors, remains steadfast in its commitment to driving digital transformation across all ministry sectors.
