ServiceNow debuts new initiative to digitally transform non-profits

ServiceNow.org is new in name, but not in practice, says president Vanessa Smith

ServiceNow has introduced a brand new initiative dedicated to digitally transforming non-profit organisations for greater impact. ServiceNow.org leverages the Now Platform to streamline operations, enhance experiences, and optimise resource management, empowering non-profits to further their missions.

The launch of ServiceNow.org comes at a crucial time for the non-profit sector. Amidst an uncertain macro environment, 54 percent of non-profits are prioritising operational efficiencies to protect and sustain their organisations, according to BDO. Digital transformation has become essential, enabling non-profits to do more with limited resources and navigate dynamic operating conditions effectively.

“ServiceNow.org is new in name, but not in practice; it continues the mission-critical work we already have underway for non-profits around the world and builds on our purpose to make the world work better for everyone,” said Vanessa Smith, president of ServiceNow.org.

“All types of organisations deserve the opportunity to put technology to use to help solve their greatest challenges. Through ServiceNow.org, we’re helping non-profits use technology to drive greater impact for their employees, volunteers, supporters, communities, and the people who depend on them.”

ServiceNow.org offers dedicated support to non-profits in disaster deployment, refugee resettlement, volunteer and member management, research trials, and more. Through collaboration with British Telecom (BT), the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC), and Thirdera, ServiceNow facilitated the establishment of a regional call center for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). The call center leverages ServiceNow’s customer service management system to process calls efficiently and provide faster assistance to displaced Ukrainians.

Automation is crucial for non-profits, just as it is for for-profit organisations. By connecting their entire operations on a cross-enterprise technology platform, non-profits can streamline work processes, enhance operations, and allocate resources where they are most needed. ServiceNow.org offers a comprehensive range of solutions, including technology expertise, employee experience, customer experience, and low-code app development, enabling non-profits to unlock the power of data and achieve their goals.

In addition to its technology support, ServiceNow extends its assistance to non-profits through an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) program, providing in-kind partnerships. One such partnership is with Ndlovu Care Group, a non-profit organisation focused on healthcare improvement in South Africa. With the help of ServiceNow and partners FlyForm and Mediro, Ndlovu developed an app for their Nutritional Unit program, facilitating project management and evaluation.

ServiceNow.org is revolutionising the non-profit sector by equipping organisations with the necessary tools and support to thrive in the digital era. Through its commitment to making the world a better place, ServiceNow enables non-profits to amplify their impact and transform lives at scale.
