TCS announces All-Women Innovation Lab in Riyadh

The All-Women Innovation Lab in Riyadh will help women innovate and develop their digital skills.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the launch of the All-Women Innovation Lab in Riyadh, KSA where startups and academia will come together to innovate with new technologies and develop digital skills in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The opening event was chaired by Dr Ahmed Althnayyan, the Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister for Future Jobs and Digital Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, in attendance were representatives of Saudi ministries, semi-government agencies and CXOs and directors from top Saudi banking and telecom firms.

Innovation and collaboration

Sumanta Roy, Head, TCS Middle East, Africa, and Mediterranean said at the announcement of the All-Women Innovation Lab, “TCS is a preferred partner to companies in the Kingdom in their growth and transformation journeys and has a long history of fostering innovation and collaboration in the region. The opening of the Innovation Lab marks the continuance of TCS’ commitment to supporting nation-building initiatives, and empowering women workers and young people in Saudi Arabia.”

Career development and training

TCS’ All-Woman Centre was developed to address customer needs and serve local communities. The Centre works to deliver TCS’ training and development expertise to Saudi women in order to bolster and develop their professional skills and competencies, allowing them to pursue successful, rewarding careers within Saudi Arabia. The Centre also provides long term opportunities in finance, accounting, human resources, supply chain management and IT and digital services.

The Centre won the Bronze Trophy at the King Khalid Sustainability Awards 2021 for its work on global sustainability standards and practices and was named Top Employer in the Middle East by the Top Employers Institute for the sixth year in a row. This year, TCS Saudi Arabia won the Best Operational Excellence Award at the World Quality Congress.

TCS is active in a wide range of technology-related fields including various IT sectors and digital re-skilling.
