Ericsson partners with AsiaCell to enhance LTE network

Ericsson to modernize and expand Asiacell’s LTE network to increase network capacity and enhance LTE customer experience across Iraq.

Continuing their collaboration, Asiacell has extended its partnership with Ericsson to improve LTE services in Iraq. Ericsson will enhance the network with the latest Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment from the Ericsson Radio System.

Rising demand

The project will modernize and expand Asiacell’s LTE network to address rising demand, improve user experience and optimize spectrum efficiency. Ericsson’s hardware will support multi-technology and multi-band operations that and address Asiacell’s current and future needs.

Increasing Digitization

As digital banking, data-driven financial systems, e-learning and e-government services grow across the country, the fast, reliable connectivity provided by LTE is required, according to Ericsson. 5G will also be required to service the Internet of Things and Artifical Intelligence.

Ericsson and AsiaCell have worked together for almost a decade on regional communication projects.
